Non-Hunting Activities

Southern Africa provides numerous options for you and your family, whatever your budget.

Add value to your African adventure with any of the following:

  • Cape Town. It’s numerous attractions include Robben Island where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned, the world famous Table Mountain and Cape Point Nature Reserve.  It has excellent restaurants, horse ridingbeaches and shopping.
  • The Cape Winelands. With a French wine-making tradition dating back to the late 17th century, it produces world class wines.  Enjoy wine tasting and fine dining surrounded by majestic mountains.
  • Great White Sharks.  Dyer Island, near the southern tip of Africa, is unquestionably one of the best places to view these predators.
  • Whale watching. From May to November Southern Right whales flock to the coastal waters of the southern Cape to calve.
  • Fishing.  Some of our hunting areas have large tracts of inland waters, home to bream, bass, catfish and yellow fish.  The south and east coasts of South Africa have good deep sea fishing.  The Kavango, Chobe and Zambezi rivers in Botswana, Zimbabwe and Zambia give you the opportunity to tackle the fierce tiger fish.
  • Equestrian. For the casual rider, experience day rides in or near our hunting areas or beach rides near Cape Town. Longer dedicated horseback safaris in South Africa’s Waterberg, the Okavango Delta in Botswana or in Namibia are a must for the more experienced rider.
  • Adventure holidays. White water rafting, canoeing, bungee jumping, diving and hiking are just a few options for the outdoor enthusiast.
  • Luxury photographic safaris. A five star experience in some of the finest private safari camps and wilderness areas in South Africa, Botswana and East Africa.
  • Kruger National Park. One of Africa’s most famous and successful conservation areas with excellent game viewing, including all of the big five, and accommodation options to suite every taste and budget.
  • Victoria Falls. One of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World.  Surrounded by good hotels, it offers curio shopping, plenty of adrenalin-filled adventures and family activities.
  • Nuwebaai Beach House, Gansbaai. Our family-owned, sea-front holiday house is ideally situated to experience many activities in South Africa’s Western Cape.  Overlooking Walker Bay, its veranda is a perfect whale-watching spot. It is situated 5km from one of the world’s best shark-diving venues, a scenic 160km drive from Cape Town, within easy reach of the Cape Winelands and 1 hour by road from L'Agulhas, the southern-most tip of Africa.  Limited plains game hunting and bird shooting are available within 1½ hours drive from Nuwebaai.

Non-hunting activities are not limited to those listed above. As with your hunting safari, your non-hunting activities are planned to meet your unique requirements.  We personally plan and co-ordinate your holiday.
